Bio

Charissa Morrison Project is a Roanoke based singer/songwriter who has crafted her own unique sound through life itself.  Having moved to Ohio to study music in college and then journeying out West to Los Angeles, California for many years these experiences have shaped her sound and style.
As she began to explore her own creative tendencies those were blended with her powerhouse vocals and rhythmic acoustic guitar playing with influences of folk, soul, pop, jazz and R&B. Charissa has been a featured artist for the WVTF Roots Down sessions, appeared in the Appalachian Hub magazine, and has performed on the local television stations for Daytime Blue Ridge and Living Local. In September of 2019 she opened for The Salem Civic Centers “Strings & Things” event featuring Morgan Wade and Perpetual Groove. She released her first, full length original song album in August of 2018 that is now available on Spotify, Itunes, Apple Music, Deezer, and Tidal. Performing these original compositions as well as her own interpretations of modern songs you can find her at various venues in Southwest Virginia and beyond!
